Brazil: Robber refuses to accept cash from elderly woman, kisses her on forehead

In a bizarre turn of events, a video has gone viral on social media which shows an armed robber kissing an elderly woman on the forehead and refusing to accept money from her while his accomplice robbed a pharmacy store in Brazil.
The surveillance footage showed the robber trying to comfort the elderly person in such a tense situation.

The video went viral on social media with certain users lauding the robber's humanity while others argued that his act of kindness towards the elderly woman doesn't excuse the criminal act of robbery.

In Northeast Brazil's Amarante, at around 5 pm on Tuesday, two armed robbers entered into the pharmacy store and declared that they were going to rob the place.

The Business owner Samuel Almedia, his employee and the elderly woman was present during the time of the robbery. "They announced the theft, asked my employee to pass all the money," Brazilian news outlet G1 quoted the store owner as saying.

When the elderly woman tried to give the robber her money, he said, "No, ma'am, you can be quiet, I don't want your money."

The thieves escaped from the establishment, carrying with them $1,000 in cash and some other goods.

No suspects have been nabbed as investigations by the military police is underway.
