VIJAYAWADA: A boy on Thursday lost his life in a bid to rescue his mother from an attack allegedly by her lover, police said.
The incident occurred at Yanmalakuduru village on the outskirts of the city on Thursday morning, they said adding the duo, enraged over some tiff with his mother, the lover allegedly attacked the boy's mother with a rod.
In an attempt to save his mother, the boy made a failed attempt to intervene and was killed, police added.
