BANGALORE: A ten-year old boy was killed, five others injured and two remained trapped under the debris of an abandoned dilapidated three-storey building that collapsed here on Friday, police said.

Efforts were on to rescue those trapped, they said.

Seven boys had entered the dilapidated structure which remained abandoned after the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (city corporation) declared it as unsafe for occupation a few months ago, in search of scraps when the roof of one of the floors came crashing down.

Five injured boys were admitted to a hospital, police said.
