Strict action would be taken against those found guilty, Khattar said in a statement released. As per reports, at least 16 people suffered partial vision loss after undergoing cataract surgery at a charitable hospital in Mahesh Nagar locality of Ambala Cantt.

Dr Charanjit Singh of charitable society 'Sarv Kalyan Sewarth Samithi' had conducted the cataract surgeries on November 24 and charged Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000 from each of the patients. Khattar also attacked opposition parties, alleging that instead of taking up matters of public interests, they come unprepared to create nuisance.
