Bomb threat puts Chennai airports on alert

An alert was sounded at both the domestic and international airports in Chennai following a bomb threat call received at the Bangalore airport early today.Sources at the airport said that the CISF, which provides the security cover, has been alerted following the bomb threat call.

Security officials conducted checks on two private airline flights that had left for Chennai from Bangalore.CISF personnel accompanied by bomb disposal squad checked the flights, officials said, adding that no suspicious items were found.
