AHMEDABAD: A bomb scare on a Mumbai-bound intercity train turned out to be hoax on Thursday after the train was searched at Valsad station, Railway police force (RPF) sources said here.

Dog and bomb-disposal squad were called in at the Valsad railway station to search the Mumbai-Surat intercity train after the authorities received an anonymous call this morning.

The train later left for Mumbai after the hour-long search, sources added.

This is the third bomb hoax incident this week in Gujarat.

On Wednesday, there was a bomb scare at the ISKCON temple in Surat and similarly there was a bomb hoax on Delhi-bound Ashram Express near Unja town of North Gujarat on August 13.
