Bomb planted at private school in Imphal East district

A powerful bomb was planted at a private school allegedly by militants in Imphal East district, but it did not explode, official sources said today.     The militants planted bomb at Mega School in Yaral Pat area yesterday but the bomb failed to explode, they said.     A bomb disposal squad later removed and defused it.     Sources said the militants might have planted the bomb to put pressure on school authorities to meet their monetary demands.
