Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, who is in Gujarat to shoot his forthcoming movie 'Piku', paid a courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel here today.

"Amitabh Bachchan paid a courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel at Gandhinagar", according to an official statement by state information department. Patel said that Gujarat is "indebted" to him for his vountarily contribution for promoting Gujarat as a tourism destination.

"Gujarat is indebted to @SrBachchan (Amitabh Bachchan) for his voluntary contribution in spreading 'Khushboo Gujarat Ki'. Met him today," Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel said on her Twitter account. Along with his co-actors Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone, Bachchan shot some sequences of the forthcoming movie on the Surendranagar-Ahmedabad highway.
