The Shiv Sena is feeling the heat from its estranged ally BJP in the polls to the country's largest and richest civic body where the two parties have gone solo. However, leaders from both parties admit that neither political formation may be able to make it past the halfway mark in the 227-member house leading to the two parties joining hands for power again.

On Wednesday evening Danve, who is also a Lok Sabha MP from Jalna in Marathwada, met Uddhav at his residence of Matoshree in Bandra East with state BJP spokesperson Keshav Upadhye.  Danve's son Santosh, who is a MLA from Bhokardhan in Jalna, is getting married on March 2 in Aurangabad. Sources claimed that the two leaders held "general discussions" during the visit.
