A BJP worker was injured in a stone-throwing incident near Rajgarh today following clashes between the Congress and the BJP workers ahead of a meeting to be addressed by Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh.

Protesting against Singh's recent remarks against the Sangh Pariwar, the BJP workers showed him black flags and burnt his effigy while he was going to address a general meeting at village Padana.

Police said that after burning the effigy of Singh, the BJP workers started pelting stones on Singh's convoy. The Congress workers also then got into the act and threw stones when one BJP worker, Chander Singh, was injured.

He was admitted to the primary health centre at Pichore for treatment, police said.
