BJP national spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao said that India's voice is being heard for the first time after a long gap of ten years in the international fora. "We have seen a large number of international leaders visiting India, inviting Indian Prime Minister and listening to the agenda that we are recommending to the world. So, I think Omar Abdullah is in a way acknowledging the reality and I think is a welcome statement," he added.

The BJP leader further said Prime Minister Modi has emerged as a top global leader in the last six months of his tenure. "Leaders of the world and all top countries of the world acknowledged the fact that Mr. Modi has emerged as a major voice on the global political platform. When political parties and leaders including leaders like Omar Abdullah mentioned this they are acknowledging this reality because this is what the people of the country truly people," he added.

Earlier on Wednesday, Omar lauded the Prime Minister and said that he has done well as far as maintaining relations with foreign countries is concerned.

The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister further said Prime Minister Modi's biggest feat was to successfully invite US President Barack Obama as the chief guest on the occasion of Republic Day.
