To restore peace and development in Darjeeling hills the state government should come forward and hold talks with the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) which is spearheading the agitation for a separate state of Gorkhaland in Darjeeling hills, Ghosh said.

Ghosh alleged that both West Bengal government and GJM are doing politics and don't want a solution to the problem.

Regarding resignation of GJM members including Bimal Gurung from the Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA), Ghosh said, "It has no significance as the boards term is almost over."
