In the backdrop of reports of the alleged scam at the Singapore-based online survey company Speak Asia, the BJP today demanded the accused be booked for economic offences.In a memorandum submitted to the Superintendent of Police of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Manoj Singh, the Madhya Pradesh convener of BJP Investment Cell Mukesh Singh Rajawat said an FIR be registered against the company for the alleged fraud.Rajawat claimed about 25 clients from Indore were cheated by the online survey company in the recent past.Speak Asia charged Rs11,000 from each of its clients for enrolling them as a member, but it neither communicated to them after that nor returned their money, he said.The Cell demanded the cases be probed as economic offences either separately or jointly after filing a complaint.Mumbai police had recently arrested five accused, including Speak Asia's chief operating officer in India (COO) Tarak Bajpai and finance manager Ravi Khanna, in connection with the multi-level marketing scam.
