According to reports, exchange of words took place between Maharathy and Panda after the House was adjourned by the speaker. Some BJD MLAs tried to pacify both of them but they continued speaking at each other.

After coming out of the House, Panda told media persons that Maharathy used cheap words against her as she was holding a plaque card containing written sentences about Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik regarding the chit fund scam. Panda said that she and her party were protesting inside the house in a democratic manner.

“Such behaviour of Maharathy is an insult to an elected representative of people”, said Panda. She further added that Maharathy’s behaviour is an insult to the dignity of Brajarajnagar constituency from where she has been elected as an MLA.
