"BJP has nothing to say or highlight in the name of its achievements so the party is misusing social media to mislead youths," Gehlot told reporters here.

"Whatever is being written against our leaders and party (on social media) is vulgar... They (BJP leaders) are hitting below the belt and are conspiring to defame our leaders and our party," he said blaming the BJP of conspiring in dividing society in the name of religion.

"However, we do not want to go down to their level and reply in the same language because Congress is a decent and disciplined party," he said.

"The party (BJP) could not become a substitute of Congress because they have no ideology or achievements. They do things for their comfort and convenience and have nothing to do with ideology," Gehlot further alleged.

Targeting BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi over his campaign to collect iron for the statue of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Gehlot said the party's ignorance towards other leaders like Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Deendayal Upadhyaya was "unfortunate".

"They make issues of Ram temple, Gau Mata during elections and forget them once they are in power," he added.
