Reacting to the terror attack in Kathua today, BJP leader Jatinder Singh said, "We condemn this act of cowardice. This was an act of anti-national forces who are frustrated by the grand success of Modi's rally in Jammu and Kashmir." Terror struck J&K's Kathua district early this morning as three militants in Army fatigues opened fire at an SUV, killing one of its occupants and injuring three others.

The gunmen were intercepted after a two hour chase near an army camp and a private college in Kalibari-Janglote belt of Kathua district, triggering a heavy exchange of fire between the two sides.

An army jawan has been injured in the encounter. Singh, who had visited the injured in the terror attack at Government Medical College (GMC) hospital in the morning, criticised the state government for allowing unchecked sale of army uniform, used by the terrorists in today's incident.

He expressed grief and sorrow over the death of a civilian in the terror attack and demanded better medicare facilities to the injured.
