BJP chief Amit Shah Saturday visited Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's official residence- 'Varsha'- in south Mumbai to offer prayers to Lord Ganesh as part of the ongoing 10-day Ganesh festival.

Shah took part in the Ganesh aarti at the CM's residence in the morning.

Tweeting about Shah's visit, Fadnavis said, "Delighted to greet@BJP4India Rashtriya Adhyaksh Mananiya @AmitShah ji at Varsha residence and perform Ganesh Aarti this morning (sic)." Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar was also present on the occasion. Thereafter, Shah left for Hyderabad.

Shah had arrived in Mumbai on Friday and offered prayers at Siddhivinayak temple, Lalbaugcha Raja and also visited a Ganpati mandal in Bandra.

BJP sources said during his two-day stay in the city, Shah did not hold any political meeting.
