In a bizarre incident, a man in Chhattisgarh allegedly consumed poison after he failed to get a bride, reports Zee media bureau.

The incident took place in Pandripani village of Farsabahar Tehsil in Jashpur district of the state on February 20. The 28-year-old youth was allegedly depressed as he wasn't getting married.

A man identified as Fuldeep Bhagat consumed  pesticides and left his home. He was found in the unconscious state next day morning. Bhagat was rushed to the Farsabahar hospital where he was referred to another hospital. However, he passed away during the treatment.

According to his family, he had seen 4-5 girls to get married, but things could not proceed further. He had allegedly also told his friends that it was affecting the prospect of his younger brother and sister's wedding and he would commit suicide by consuming poison. However, his words were taken lightly by his friends.

The dead body was handed over to his parents after the post-mortem.
