Former US President Bill Clinton, who would travel to India this week, is scheduled to pay a visit to a kitchen run here by an NGO that caters food to children in government schools as part of the mid-day meal scheme that feeds over one million kids daily across the country.

"Clinton will visit the kitchen where food is prepared for school children in Jagatpura area on July 16," the NGO Akshya Patra spokesperson said.

The next day, on July 17, Clinton will visit a school and community center in Lucknow, according to an itinerary released by the Clinton Foundation.

The events are the part of Clinton's trip to Asia-Pacific from July 16 to 23 during which he is scheduled to travel to Vietnam, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia to visit the work of the Clinton Foundation and deliver remarks at the 20th International AIDS Conference in Australia.
