Aaj Tak-Axis My India predicts big win for Tejshwi Yadav-led Mahagathbandhan. It predicts 69-91 for NDA, 139-161 for MGB and 3-5 for LJP.

Today’s Chanakya predicts that the BJP-JDU got 34 per cent of the total votes polled, while the RJD-Congress received 44 per cent. Other parties, including Chirag Paswan’s LJP, received 22 per cent.

Times Now-C-Voter exit polls predicted a hung house in the 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections. It gives 120 seats to the Grand Alliance and 116 to NDA.

According to the Republic Jan Ki Baat Exit Polls, RJD-Congress-Left 'Mahagathbandhan is seen to be trumping the JDU-BJP-HAM-VIP (NDA) alliance. The Mahagathbandhan is seen to be winning anything between 118 and 138 seats, while NDA looks to get 91 to 117 seats. LJP to get 5-8 seats while Others to get 3-6 seats. With RJD set to be the single-largest party, the Mahagathbandhan is projected to win 40-43% of the votes, while NDA is projected to win 37-39% of the votes. 

According to ABP News-CVoter, Bihar is set to witness a hung Assembly or would be a cliffhanger. According to the survey, in the 243 Assembly seats, NDA is expected to get 104-128 seats, Grand Alliance to get 108-131 seats, Chirag Paswan's LJP expected to get 1-3 seats and Others to get 4-8. 

RJD is predicted to emerge as the single largest party, while the NDA is likely to get 2 per cent more votes.

First major election during COVID-19

Political parties left no stone unturned to woo the state's voters. The dates for the Bihar Assembly elections 2020 were announced on September 25 by the Election Commission of India (ECI). 

The polls to elect a new 243-member assembly were held in 3 phases, keeping in mind the COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing norms. In the first phase, 71 assembly constituencies went to polls. 

94 assembly seats went to polls in the second phase, while in the third and final one 78 seats went to polls. The counting of votes will be on November 10. 

The term of the Bihar Assembly comes to an end on November 29.

According to the poll panel, there were 7.29 crore voters in the state, including 3.85 crore male and 3.4 crore female voters and 1.6 lakh service voters.

These were the first election held since the COVID-19 pandemic and the EC had taken additional measures to ensure that the polls are conducted while following the COVID-19 guidelines.
