Janata Dal (United) National General Secretary KC Tyagi on Tuesday said the 'Beti Bacho, Beti Padhao' campaign, which was launched in Haryana, was an eyewash as Baba Ramdev's pharmacies are selling a medicine which allegedly helps in ensuring the birth of male child.

Talking to media persons, Tyagi questioned how would the BJP government ensure the success of campaign with "supertitious" Ramdev, who is the Brand Ambassador for promotion of yoga and ayurveda in Haryana, still selling the 'Putrajeevak Beej' medicine in his pharmacies.
Tyagi also demanded that the Haryana govenment must remove Ramdev as the brand ambassador of the state.
