Some of the worst affected areas were Bommanahalli, Kodichikkanahalli and Bilekahalli.

Boats were being used in Bilekahalli area where heavy rains cause water logging and a nearby lake was breached.

Around 150 fire tenders and emergency personnel have been deployed across the city.

The waterlogging threw normal life out of gear as all major roads - Old Madras Road, Hosur Road, Outer Ring Road, Bannerghatta Road and Ballari Road - faced massive traffic jams.
