CHANDIGARH: Akali Dal legislator Gaganjit Singh Barnala was on Monday remanded to 14 days judicial custody in an alleged rape case.
Judicial Magistrate Atul Marya pronounced the order remanding Gaganjit, son of Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala.
Several supporters of the MLA from Dhuri constituency shouted slogans against the Chandigarh police inside and outside the court premises.
