Ajit Doval has said that Bangladesh is India's most important neighbour' and called for exploiting the full potential of bilateral cooperation, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the country next month. Doval further gave full credit to the Prime Minister Modi for the ratification of the Land Boundary Agreement while addressing the concluding session of the Sixth India Bangladesh Friendship Dialogue.

He added that India was proud to have a neighbour who is fully responsive to its security sensitivities whether it was insurgency or counterfeit currency. Furthermore, he said that India had longest border with Bangladesh and it was a matter of great satisfaction that the two countries had now a clearly demarcated land and maritime border.
