Once again in its bid to list terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar as UN-designated terrorist, India for the first time has shared audio recordings of Masood Azhar to expose his role in spreading jihad and planning terror attacks in Kashmir. It's a crucial day for India at the UNSC as US, France and UK, the three permanent members of the security council will move their proposal to list Pulwama attack perpetrator as a UN-designated terrorist.

After India lost at least 40 CRPF personnel in a deadly Pulwama terror attack, on February 14, whose responsibility was taken by Masood Azhar's JeM, UK, France, and US had cleared their stand that they will push for a move in the security council to list Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. The move has come after repeated attempts by India to convince the global community that Masood Azhar is not only a threat to India but to the whole world.

Not the first time when US, France and UK will be moving against Masood Azhar. In the past too, the three nations have taken India's side but China has always acted as a hurdle in blocking this move, using its veto power.

But this time, the call for listing Masood Azhar is stronger than ever and US, UK, and France hope that China will too support the move. Earlier on Tuesday, clearing their stand to list Masood Azhar, State Department Deputy spokesperson Robert Palladino had said that Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar meets the criteria to be designated as a "global terrorist" by the UN and China's opposition to the move counters a mutual interest in achieving regional stability and peace.
