NEW DELHI: Rain and wind disturbance disrupted movement of flights at the Indira Gandhi International Airport late Wednesday night.

Only one of the two runways was operational after 10pm due to a downpour and wind disturbance which reduced the runway visibility to 800 metres from 2000 metres, an airport spokesman said.

He said the air traffic was normal from 5.30pm to 10pm but the weather played spoilsport late in the night.

A number of Delhi-bound flights were reported to have been diverted to Jaipur and Lucknow due to heavy traffic congestion at the airport, the spokesman said.
