Babulal Nagar gives his blood sample, finally

Ten days after a rape case was filed against him, former dairy minister Babulal Nagar reached Sawai Man Singh Hospital for medical examination. A board of doctors examined him and took his blood, semen and other samples for forensic tests after the ex-minister reported at the hospital.

Nagar has been desperately trying to skip the tests  and had even left the city despite repeated notices by the CID team.

Around 10 am on Saturday, the CID team investigating the case reached Nagar’s house to escort him to the hospital.

But, the team could not find him at his house. Nagar’s son informed the team that he will appear before (CID) at 4 pm after which the team left.

At 12 noon, Nagar reached the SMS Hospital unannounced and informed the CID about his arrival. The team took Nagar before the Medical Board. Besides taking his samples, a potency test was also conducted on the MLA. Interestingly, Nagar objected to the potency test. I am potent then what is the need for a test, he reportedly told the doctors.

After the tests were done, Nagar left the hospital from a backdoor of the room in a bid to avoid the media. “In my 17-year of service at the hospital, I have never seen or heard of the backdoor being opened,” said an employee of the SMS Hospital.

After the incidents during the day, the legislator was reportedly put under police vigilance but the CID was tight-lipped over the issue.
