The Swarajs ran into one another outside parliament.

There are few ministers who are as universally loved as Sushma Swaraj who’s always on hand to help out stranded Indians in any part of the world. To top that, she also has a devilish sense of humour, mocking those who write to her for problems which aren’t part of her domain – like non-working fridges or cars. And when an unruly neighbour needs a reminder, she is also there at her sternest best.
And our very own motherly version of Liam Neeson’s Taken character (I don’t care who you are or where you are stranded, I will find you and rescue you), was even more adorable today when she put up a picture of herself with her husband Swaraj Kaushal. The two reportedly bumped into one another outside parliament.
What’s amazing about the Swarajs is the fact that two found love in the times of turmoil. Sushma married Swaraj Kaushal, a peer and fellow Supreme Court advocate and together they defended socialist George Fernandes. The couple married during the Emergency on July 13, 1975 and the marriage was reportedly backed by their law professor who thought the couple were meant for one another. The two have a daughter called Bansuri who is a graduate from Oxford University and a lawyer in London.
