Joint police commissioner DJ Patel said that protesters ran away when police reached the multiplex.

The protesters alleged that some dialogues in the film were supportive of the terrorists, and burnt posters of the film before the police's arrival while asking the multiplex management to stop the screening.

The flim, a modern-day adaptation of William Shakespeare's `Hamlet', is set in the insurgency-hit Kashmir of the 1990s.
