Dalit leader Prakash Ambedkar on Saturday said both Congress and BJP are two sides of same coin and both are against the Bahujan community. "Both are protective of Manuwadi thinking," he said.

Addressing a mammoth rally at the historic Shivaji Park at Dadar here under the banner of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, along with AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, Ambedkar disclosed that he has been offered four Lok Sabha seats by the Congress-NCP combine. "We, however, are not after seats. We wanted them to give us in writing that once in power, they will ban the RSS. If Congress adopts true secular ideology then we are ready to go with it. But, currently, it is following extremist Hindu Vedic ideology, Ambedkar said.

He said even after 70 years of Independence, tribals and Dalit are at the receiving end. "We have launched an ideological movement in Maharashtra. Muslims supported Congress for 70 years… Even if we bag 10-15 seats in Lok Sabha polls, we will make a difference. I request Muslim brothers to give us an opportunity," Ambedkar said.

Owaisi said he has come to Mumbai to support his elder brother Prakash Ambedkar in his fight. Stating that Pakistan will never succeed in breaking up India, he said Pakistan should better stop worrying about Indian Muslims. "We are very happy in India and are ready to fight for India. The true Muslim will never support terrorist activities. We believe in humanity," he said.

Owaisi, however, questioned how come Indian Prime Minister also failed to protect the country and its soldiers. "This government can easily detect beef, but it failed to detect 350 kilograms of RDX. How come such amount of RDX was procured and used? It is not only intelligence failure but a breakdown of political and diplomatic institutions," he said.

Though political observers were expecting Prakash Ambedkar to announce his decision to fight Lok Sabha polls separately, Ambedkar left scope scope for negotiations with the Congress and NCP. While Congress has offered four Lok Sabha seats, Ambedkar has set his eyes on a dozen seats, which led to a deadlock in talks. Ambedkar is trying to stitch a third front in the state, which could cut into Opposition votes. He has already announced to contest all 48 seats in Maharashtra, and has announced candidates from several seats.

Though there was speculation that AIMIM will also contest in state, it is learnt that the party will only be backing the third front led by Ambedkar.
