DMK President and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today said the spate of arrests of his partymen, including former minister KN Nehru on land grab charges, reminded him of the Emergency days."It reminds me of Emergency days," he told reporters at the state secretariat after signing the Assembly register. He was reacting to the arrest of Nehru, DMK strongman from Tiruchirappalli, on land grab charges today. Senior DMK leaders, including former Minister Veerapandi S Arumugam, and aides of Union Minister M K Alagiri have already been arrested on similar charges.On his party's decision to boycott the ongoing Budget Session of the state Assembly, he complained of lack of proper seating arrangements and asked how he could go inside in his wheel-chair.
