As many as 20 students have got calls from IIMA this year from the Ahmedabad centre alone. The number may go up further, sources said.According to information based on calls received by students of various coaching institutes in the city, the highest percentile in Ahmedabad centre is believed to be 99.99 followed by 99.96.  Further, dozens of students have apparently scored a percentile of 95 this year. However, according to Sameer Rai, regional director, PT Education, students with work experience and working executives are also being preferred. According to sources, many IIMs are yet to call the selected students for interview. As of on Monday, most of the calls that students received were from IIMA and IIM-Shillong.  By late evening, some students also received calls from IIM-Lucknow.  Sources said that from Surat centre around 10 students received calls from IIMA. Some students from Baroda and Rajkot had also received calls. The computerised CAT exams were marred by glitches which forced the authorities to conduct a re-test at many places. In the first phase, around 2.1 lakh students took the test while, 8000 students had to re-appear because of technical glitches.  If that wasn't enough the server went down for nearly three hours on the day the CAT results were announced.
