The Indian Army has rescued a group of tourists after they got stranded due to unprecedented snowfall in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh."The 13 tourists, including two women, were returning from Shungatser Lake on February 16 when their vehicle got stuck in three feet of snow on the road," army officers said today.The rescue operation took place at an altitude of 15,000 feet where the group had to face sudden snowfall and bad weather hampering their movement."A team from the nearby army unit was rushed to the spot to ensure their safety and rescue. After necessary medical help on the spot, the jawans cleared the road in an overnight operation," the officers said.
