Sepoy Arvind Kumar of 102 Engineering Regiment was crushed to death under a bulldozer at Daeria Post in Nawaranda area, about 140 kms from here in Uri sector of Baramulla. The accident took place when Kumar, a bulldozer operator, was busy in a construction work on a road. The bulldozer lost balance and rolled down, killing Kumar on the spot.
In another incident, Sepoys Makhan Singh and Prushotam were critically injured when they lost balance and slipped into a deep gorge while guarding a forward post in Karnah
sector, 140 kms from here, in Kupwara district.
