Jammu and Kashmir: Army foils infiltration bid in Poonch, 3 militants killed
Three militants were killed in the gun battle.
Army today foiled an infiltration bid and killed three militants along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A group of militants infiltrated into this side of the LoC. Troops engaged them in Sajiyan area of Poonch district, Defence Spokesman Col S D Goswami said. In the gun-battle, three militants were killed, he said, adding the operation was still going on when the last reports came in from the area.
