Claiming to be speaking from Saudi Arabia, caller says blasts will rock city in next 3 days.
The police received yet another bomb threat call on Sunday morning.
The caller, who claimed to be calling from a foreign location, said there would be bomb blasts in the city in next three days.
Immediately, the authorities alerted dog squads, bomb squads and Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) were alerted.
In the recent past, police had received two similar threats, one of which had turned out to be a hoax.
The police are still searching for the man who had made the hoax call.
The Sunday’s call was received at 4.40 am at police control room.
“The caller claimed to be calling from Saudi Arabia. He said that bomb blasts would take place in the city in next three days,” said police officials.
Soon, the control room officials informed their seniors about the threat call.
“Immediately, dog squads, bomb squads and ATS were alerted.
Commissionerate officials were also informed about the bomb threat call,” said Giriraj Meena, additional commissioner of police.
During preliminary investigation, it was found that the call was made through internet. Till Sunday evening, the police were busy tracing the location from where the call was made.
The ATS is investigating the matter. A case has been registered at Lal Kothi police station in this regard.
The authorities are not taking the bomb threat lightly. Recently, bomb blasts had rocked Bodh Gaya in Bihar.
Sources said that recently, the ministry of home affairs had written a letter to chief secretary CK Mathew regarding activities of terrorist organisation SIMI in the state. Mathew had forwarded the letter to ACS home, Ashok Sampatram.
Meanwhile, the police are still searching for the caller of earlier bomb hoax.
