Anna supporters protest outside PM Manmohan Singh's residence
Hoodwinking police, protesters gathered outside 7 Race Course Road residence of Singh in small groups and then re-grouped shouting slogans against the government and demanding that a strong Lokpal bill be passed.
Scores of Anna Hazare supporters staged a protest outside Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence here this afternoon demanding immediate passing of the Jan Lokpal Bill, ahead of an all-party meeting.Hoodwinking police, protesters gathered outside 7 Race Course Road residence of Singh in small groups and then re-grouped shouting slogans against the government and demanding that a strong Lokpal Bill be passed.Police immediately swung into action and took 50 people, including women, into a bus and then to a nearby police station.The protest affected traffic on the Race Course Road for sometime.
