Anna Hazare's campaign against corruption came in for praise today from a US diplomat who said it was a "hallmark of democracy" to demonstrate peacefully."It is been very interesting to see that citizens are engaged in something that is important in so many countries -- anti-corruption. I think it is a hallmark of democracy when you get an opportunity to demonstrate it peacefully," US Consul General Jennifer Mcintyre told reporters here.Mcintyre, who assumed charge recently, said she was a firm believer in democracy.The 74-year-old Hazare ended his fast on August 28 after securing Parliament's approval on key elements of Jan Lokpal Bill.
