The youths shouted "Anna Hazare zindabad" during the ceremonial handshake of BSF officials and Pak Rangers, which was reciprocated in a loud voice by a number of people there.

Meanwhile, various NGOs, students organisations across Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh came forward to express their solidarity with Hazare.

School and college students created human chain in Amritsar and took out candle march.

Anna supporters were seen holding protests and candle light vigils across the city.
