He wrote on Twitter: “I am paying 15 cr income tax from last 5 year n still i have to pay 5 lacs bribe to BMC office for making my office @narendramodi. Yeh hain aapke achhe din ? @narendramodi”

Reacting to Sharma’s tweet, BMC vigilance chief Manohar Pawar took notice. Speaking to dna about the allegations he said that the BMC was taking the issue very seriously and requested the actor to reveal the names of the civic officials who demanded the bribe.

Manohar Pawar said: "We request Kapil Sharma to give us the names who approached him and demanded the bribe. It will help us to take the necessary action.”

During the 2014 elections, the BJP had used Acche din aane waale hain (Good days are coming) as their primary slogan to indicate that a prosperous future was in store when the BJP came to power. These days, the term is often used by Modi’s numerous critics to hit out at him.
