Telugu Desam Party leader and actor Nandamuri Harikrishna, who is also former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NT Rama Rao's son, was killed after he met with an accident on Narketpally-Addanki Highway in Telangana's Nalgonda district on Tuesday.

According to an Indian Express report, he was shifted to Kamineni hospital and is undergoing treatment. Local news reports claim the actor and had passed away after failing to respond to treatment. News agency ANI later confirmed that the actor had indeed died.

Nandamuri Harikrishna is the fourth son of actor, director, producer, founder of Telugu Desam Party and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. In 2008, he was a candidate of the Telugu Desam Party for election to Rajya Sabha.

He was a child actor, who made the transitions into a leading actor in Telugu cinema.
