Amit Shah peps up youth for 2019

The BJP National President Amit Shah on Saturday exhorted youth to follow the party's ideology and its nation building programs under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Launching BJP's Mission 2019 campaign by roping in support of youth through 'Yuva Udghosh' program in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi, Shah said that the BJP was not only a political party but an ideology which every youth should follow to make their contribution in nation building under Modji.

Shah addressed about 17,000 youth who joined the BJP through online registration at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidhyapeeth Sports ground. After Varanasi, the party is out to organize Yuva Udghosh programs all country to widen party's support base by roping in youth in the run up to crucial 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Unprecedented security arrangements were made for the BJP youth conclave in view of Congress threatening to disrupt the proceedings. The former Congress MP Rajesh Mishra and ex-MLA Ajay Rai were among 40 Congress leaders and workers who were arrested by the police when they tried to break the security cordon around the venue.

"A new India is born under Prime Minister Narendra Modi who not only gave development a new direction in the country but established India on the world horizon," said Shah while welcoming and addressing the newly-joined young voters.

In his address, the BJP National President dwelt at length to make the newly-joined youth members aware about the policies, ideology and functioning of the party. "Today on the world platform, India's name come third after the US and Russia. If Swami Vivekanand had given a new identity to India under the British rule, our Prime Minister has taken India to new height on the world map," said Shah.

The BJP national president listed all achievements of the Modi and Yogi government before the new members and asked them to judge the performances of the Central and BJP-ruled states vis-a-vis previous Congress and other governments.

"Only our government had the courage to bring in legislation to curb practice of triple talaq but the Congress stalled the Bill in Raj Sabha. BJP governments work for all sections of the society with no appeasement of a particular community or caste. 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas' is the only agenda of the BJP government at the Centre and states," pointed Shah.
