AMC to light up service road with sodium vapour lights
According to the Chairman Ramesh Desai, the 1.5 km stretch needs to be lit, particularly after the construction of a flyover at the ISCKON circle which shadows over the service road.
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will light up the service road from Karnavati Club to ISCKON mall at the cost of Rs6.89 lakh. The decision was taken by Road and Building committee at a meeting on Saturday.
According to the Chairman Ramesh Desai, the 1.5 km stretch needs to be lit, particularly after the construction of a flyover at the ISCKON circle which shadows over the service road. AMC will erect 32 street lights powered by 150 watt sodium bulbs. The poles will be 32 feet in height.
