Amalapuram Lok Sabha Election Results 2019: Contest in Amalapuram Parliamentary constituency 2019 was held on April 11 in the first phase of general elections. BJP’s Ayyaji Vema Manepalli, Congress’ Janga Gowtham, YSR Congress’ Chinta Anuradha and TDP’s GMC Balayogi were the key contestants in the fray in 2019.

Polling in all 24 Lok Sabha constituencies in Andhra Pradesh was held in the first phase. 

Amalapuram Lok Sabha Constituency profile

Amalapuram seat has been reserved for scheduled caste category. Amalapuram constituency is largely dependent on agriculture activities to drive its economy. In 2014 polls, the state of Andhra Pradesh witnessed an overall voting percentage of 74.47. 

Amalapuram Lok Sabha Constituency had a total of 1,275,287 electorates where 631,884 comprise of males and 643,403 are females according to 2009 election commission report.

Amalapuram Lok Sabha constituency results in 2014, 2009 and 2004
 
2014: Dr Pandula Ravindra Babu (M) of the TDP received 594547 votes who defeated Pinipe Viswarupu (M) of the YSR Congress who got 473971 votes.
 
2009: Harsha Kumar (M) of the Congress received 368501 votes who defeated Pothula Prameela Devi (F) of the PRAP with not such a big margin and received 328496 votes. 
 
2004: GV Harsha Kumar (M) of the Congress received 350346 votes and defeated Dunna Janardhana Rao (M) of the TDP who got 308861 votes.
 
Andhra Pradesh also witnessed simultaneous assembly election on April 11.
