The Union minister for petroleum and natural gas said the Trinamool Congress and DMK are okay with the rise in prices of petrol and diesel.

Petrol prices have been increased by Rs3.50 per litre, diesel by Rs2 per litre, the price of kerosene has been increased by Rs3 per litre and LPG will cost Rs35 more per cylinder.

However, Trinamool Congress chief and Union minister for railways Mamata Banerjee opposed the hike saying it was against the interests of the common man.
