At the meet, it was announced that a biopic on Bangladesh founding father Sheikh Mujibar Rahman will be made. The decision was taken during bilateral talks between Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar and Bangladesh Information Minister Muhammad H Mahmud.

Rahman, popularly known as 'Bangabandhu Mujib' in Bangladesh, is often considered to be the central figure behind the independence of East Pakistan and formation of the Bengali nation. He played a prominent role in the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971 and formed the Awami League, the ruling party of the country. His daughter, Sheikh Hasina, is the current Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

In today's meet of the Ministers of Information and Broadcasting, an MoU between the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) of India and Film Development Corporation of Bangladesh was also signed.

India has extended its support to establish a film city in Bangladesh.
