An alert has been sounded across Bihar in the wake of Maoists' call for boycott of the Independence Day celebrations tomorrow, according to official sources."We have alerted all the police stations to thwart any bid by law-breakers to create disturbances tomorrow," the sources said.Special vigil was being kept at airports, railway stations and jails across the state, they said.Patrolling would be further stepped up in the state capital where the main function would be held at historic Gandhi Maidan, sources said.Close survelliance would be kept on the movement of suspected elements in the areas along Indo-Nepal border in Bihar, they said.There would be static deployment of armed securitymen in vulnerable pockets, sources said.The Maoists have called for boycott of Independence day functions in Bihar.
