Akhil Bhartiya Vishwa Parishad starts drive to aware masses on women's safety

With a view to sensitise the society on issues pertaining to the safety of women, Akhil Bhartiya Vishwa Parishad (ABVP) activists have started a drive in Indore.
The twelve-day awareness drive was flagged off on Friday and will conclude on October 2.

Under the awareness campaign, ABVP activists will be carrying out different activities including debate, public seminars, mouth to mouth publicity of women empowerment and others.

Activists will also conduct a survey to understand the mindset of people on the issue of women exploitation and their expectations from the responsible persons of the society.

"ABVP on Saturday started the campaign by carrying out a survey in Chandan Nagar. A questionnaire was distributed to the public that was filled up by around 100 women and men," said Rohin Rai, ABVP city general secretary.

"All questions were related to issues pertaining to women including education, practice of dowry, exploitation in various domains and others," he added.

ABVP will also cover city educational campuses wherein they will carry out a number of activities for students with effect to women empowerment including drama, expert lectures, oratory events and others.

Activists claimed that the student outfit of BJP has initiated this campaign at a pan India level and is being carried out across the country.
