Air India to operate services in Chennai-Coimbatore sector

National air carrier Air India today announced introduction of services in the Chennai-Coimbatore sector from May 18.An Airbus A319 aircraft would be operated on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, a release from the airlines said in Chennai.The introduction of the flight during summer would not only cater to the passengers bound for Coimbatore but also to hill resort town of Udhagamandalam, the release added.
