A group of Air India pilots today staged a silent march at the domestic airport here to protest delay in payment of their salaries and allowances.

"We are not being paid on time for the past three to four months despite giving an all-time performance. The pilots want professional management to run the airline," vice president of the Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) Abu Ansari
told reporters.

"In the last four to five months, management has held some 30-odd meetings with us on the turnaround plans, but nothing has  come out of it," Ansari said.

On the proposed strike by ICPA on November 24, Ansari said, as of now the strike call is very much on.

However, "We have a meeting with Chief Labour Commissioner in Delhi on November 20 and much would depend on its outcome," he said.
